The Nutters
Clifton Hampden & Burcot
Women's Institute
Clifton Hampden & Burcot WI has been inspiring women for 80 years after being established in 1946.
November 2023 after a vote from members the name The Nutters was adopted. The area that is covered by the parishes of Clifton Hampden & Burcot was once known to have nut trees.

The Nutters formally known as CH&B WI is a unique group of inclusive friendly ladies who share similar interests and meet on the third Thursday of each month at 19:30.
Most of our meetings are held in Clifton Hampden Village Hall but we also visit other local places of interest such as Museums and Gardens.

The WI is not only about jam, tea and cake or Jerusalem but is an organization that when the ladies campaign the government and local authorities take heed.

The WI has a 100 year history of campaigning for causes that are close to the hearts of the women who belong to the WI such as Care not Custody: ensuring that persons that needed help with mental health did not end up in prisons without the support.

We welcome visitors at some meetings at a charge of £5 per meeting to help with the cost of village hall hire and cost of speakers and yes we do have tea and cake and a raffle after each meeting and no we do not sing Jerusalem and don't make jam.

Please visit our What's On page for details of future meetings.
